Solemnity of Corpus Christi, Sunday

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today as we remember the feast of Corpus et sanguis Christi, (the Solemnity of Body and Blood of Christ), may the celebrations of the sacraments, especially the Holy Mass, fill us with a sense not only of God’s nearness, but also with awe at his greatness and compassion. We pray for those deprived of the sacraments, may we be one in love and prayer with all those who are not allowed to practice their faith, and cannot receive their Lord in the Eucharist.

Let us pray for the Holy Church of God, the foundation of Peter’s rock on which the church was built. We pray for the Anglican and Catholic Church and all those who teach and uphold the faith that has been given to us by the apostle. We pray at this time for those men preparing for ordination to the Diaconate and Priesthood asking God to guide them in their ministries, we also continue to pray for the fostering of vocations.

Lord hear us:   Lord graciously hear us.
